The company’s history goes back to 1970 when the air conditioning division was represented by the US brand Friedrich under the broad umbrella of AWALCO Group. In the year 1993 Awal Gulf Manufacturing was established with a broad vision of being the largest manufacturer of HVACR products in the MEA region with a strong focus on meeting customer expectations and demands.

Production of the residential range of products started in 1995 from its first manufacturing plant at Sitra, Bahrain with a total capacity of 500,000 units per year. The factory is spread across 32,000 square meters and has a current capacity to scale up to 650,000 units a year. 

In order to meet the growing demands of customers and to diversify its product offerings, the company commissioned a Chest Freezer plant in 2005. The factory currently has the capacity to produce 100,000 units of Chest Freezers and Visi Coolers per year. The factory is in close proximity to the first plant and is spread over 8,000 square meters area.

Keeping the pace of our ambitious growth plant, the company moved on to the production of the Central Air condition products (CAC) in 2002 and commissioned a state of the art, largest of all manufactory plant in Hidd in the year 2010. The newest production facility currently produces Rooftop Packaged Unit, Central Ducted units along with Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Fan Coil Units (FCUs). The factory has a production capacity of 10,000 units per year covering 52,000 square meters of area. 

Awal Gulf Manufacturing currently employs over 1000 dedicated HVACR professionals working towards bringing innovative products and services to the region.

Our products include Window Air Conditioners, Decorative-Type Split Systems, Central Air Conditioners, Air Handling Units ( AHUs), Fan Coil Units ( FCUs), Variable Refrigerant Flow Systems (VRF), Roof Tank Water Coolers, Chest Freezers, Showcase Refrigerators, Air Purifiers, and Contactless Handwash units.
