Responding to the stimulus of the new materials provided

by technology, the creative ability of masters such as

Gropius, Mies Van der Rohe and Le Corbusier laid the

foundations of the modern movement in architecture and

was decisive in establishing a concept of buildings based

on a functional and organic separation between the loadbearing

structure and the outer skin of the façade.

The freeing of the skin of the building from this historic role

as load-bearing wall, made it possible to develop the

concepts of an opening or large window running the full length of each floor, and of an opening running the full

length and height required by contemporary architecture and provided by the technology.

Folcra Beach was founded in 1995 at the height of the modern movement and its aim has always been to develop state-of-the-art technology by systematically and consistently incorporating the latest innovations of applied technique into its architectural products in order to provide to the creative architects with an integral support system, ranging from information, calculations and tests, at the design stage, to manufacture and assembly on site, at the construction stage.
