SBM Co. was founded in 1978 by a Saudi/Finnish Joint Venture and is considered the pioneer of quality Ready Mix Concrete producer in the Western province and Jeddah area. SBM Co. is the first to introduce a whole range of concrete admixtures, chilled water in 1979 and crushed ice in 1982, blasted high quality crushed aggregates 1983, micro silica and special concrete stabilizer and long lasting super plasticizer in 1993 and high early strength concrete since 1990 to ensure faster progress on the construction sites.

In April 1994 SBM Co. was the first Ready Mix Company to acquire ISO 9002, the first one in 1999 for ISO 9001 and the first one in 2003 for ISO 9001/2000 in production, delivery and testing of aggregates in Jeddah and Yanbu areas and updated to ISO 9001:2008 also we are in stage of building HSE system (Health Safety & Environment System) which concern about occupational Health Safety to be in compline’s with OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment System) which is international standard British system originally but now under the umbrella of ISO in addition to that we are going to build up an environmental control system to be in compline’s with  ISO 14001:2004 and this ISO 14001 is concern about environmental conservation and waste management system and pollutions controls to be implemented in our factories during the of 2015.
