- About
We provide our customers with reliable, efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
We do this by investing in distributed solar and energy efficiency infrastructure for commercial and industrial businesses in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
Yellow Door Energy was founded in 2015 as a spin-out from Adenium Energy Capital, a leading solar investor in the Middle East with $500 million of solar assets worldwide.
Launched in 2015 by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), the initiative supports the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the smartest city in the world (DEWA, 2018).
Shams Dubai is Dubai’s net metering scheme that encourages building owners to install solar photovoltaic panels on the roofs of their premises to generate electricity from solar power and export any excess to the power grid (DEWA, 2017a).
