The XV FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) in Abu Dhabi sealed the return to the World Swimming Championships in attendance and the renewal of the partnership between FINA and Myrtha Pools until 2025.
The meet featured 44 events over six days within the renowned Etihad Arena, located along the sparkling Yas Bay waterfront.
Awarded the prestigious MENA green Building Award in 2018, Etihad Arena is a forward-thinking entertainment venue which has hosted a wide range of high-profile cultural and sports events. For this occasion, it had been transformed by Myrtha Pools into an impressive aquatic center worthy of the globe’s finest swimmers.
The World Championships featured some 1,500 athletes from 175 countries racing in a 25-meter competition pool, with another Myrtha vessel provided for warm-up and cool-down. The exclusive modular stainless steel technology deployed by Myrtha Pools provides the perfect solution for these major events, as after the competition is finished the pool will be disassembled and either dispatched for permanent installment elsewhere or even used again in another special event setting. All of this makes the Italian company’s approach to aquatics the clear champion when it comes to flexible strength and design sustainability in aquatics.
