Miele is a German manufacturer of high quality domestic and commercial appliances. The company is based in Gütersloh, Germany. Founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann, Miele remains a family owned, family-run company.
Miele has subsidiaries in more than 47 countries around the world, and in 2004 Miele Appliances Ltd. opened its doors in Dubai.
"We have quite deliberately chosen Dubai as a major metropolis on the Arabian Gulf for our subsidiary", said Dr. Miele in his opening speech. "We have great hopes in this city, which has seen such amazing development in so short a period of time, and is seen today as the 'Boomtown' of the world. A constant run of new construction projects is being planned and implemented, and everyone who comes to Dubai feels that the city is full of creative powers, and that it is alive and active 24/7".
